Our Care

“I came over from the States to visit my mother, with some trepidation – my experience of similar facilities were that they were institutional and rather smelly! Hillyfield, on the other hand, is amazing! The staff are wonderfully compassionate, welcoming and helpful. It truly feels like a home. My visits were never viewed as intrusions and my mother, though wishing she could be in her own home, acknowledges the loving and tender care she is receiving.”

Residential care

Seaview Residential Home provides a safe, warm and friendly environment with support for daily tasks such as washing, cleaning and laundry for those who require full time care. At Seaview Residential Home, we work to create a welcoming atmosphere in which residents enjoy activities, go on outings in our own minibus and make friends with other residents. However, we recognise that residents have very individual requirements and we can provide a range of care services to help meet these needs. Please feel free to call or pop in to Seaview Residential Home to have a chat with our Manager

Respite & Day Care

We also offer respite care for older people who need extra support following an operation or illness, or while their regular carer takes a well-earned break. We also provide convalescent care, to help people who need to recuperate after a hospital stay and to support them to be well enough to go back home.

Review Score

9.3/10

I wrote a review last year when my mother had been in Seaview for three months. Sadly she passed away in September having spent 18 months in this excellent care home. My previous good opinion has improved over this time. The management and all the staff are very caring and supportive of the residents, relatives and visitors. Because it is a small home the lovely staff are able to give personal attention to each resident and make it feel like their own home. I could not have chosen a better final home for my mother, and I would thoroughly recommend Seaview to potential residents and relatives.

My mother in law has been at this care home for nearly 3 weeks now and I can’t praise the home and staff enough. From the moment I went to view it I felt at ease. It really feels like a home from home. The staff I feel really care not only for the residents but for the family too. Nothing is too much trouble. Communication is excellent, kept informed by management and staff. If I ever have to go into a care home I hope it will be this one. Well done to all who work there.

My mum suffered with dementia and Parkinsons. I was so glad to have found a care home that delivered such excellent care. My mum was treated with respect, dignity and individualised care by caring wonderful staff that would and did go above and beyond in my mum's care and in her final days. My mum felt safe and happy at Seaview and it gave myself and her brother great comfort to know she was looked after so well. As a nurse myself I can honestly say that the home delivers truly exceptional care and never loses sight of the resident or their needs and words cannot fully express how wonderful I feel the staff are at the home.
